come back
Five to ten years ago, I was working for a fairly large new company with hundreds of offices in about 50 different countries connected by one big global network… except for the cash registers or 5 data centers. named places, the idea of ”decision centers”. I’m in learning the beautiful of these places. The goal of the solution was to host all the services that business customers need from us, and at the same time separate them for each company’s global network. Since we were definitely part of a global network, my partner and I considered ourselves the black sheep of the company…and I was the only systems engineer in charge of running the servers on my blog site. No problem… I’ll do my job well if the article stays on my devices.
However, this led toa whole host of additional complexities that my current organization didn’t need to point out. The biggest problem to overcome was the disaster recovery of our website. Yeah, you know… actually, I could just move one of our IDCs to a different location and define a dedicated VPN just for your current inter-DC connection. It would be the right decision, but good enough. At a DR event this would make me completely dependent on the IT staff elsewhere… and call us crazy but sometimes I want to be sure I can probably complete the treatment without 100% help from you guys.< /p>
