I have a nice Lanparty DK 790FX-M2RS motherboard (Northbridge 790FX, Southbridge SB600) from DFI with the latest bios from “beta” year 2009. This bios can support AMD Phenom II X4 965 processor and it works fine with it . Purchased
I have a Phenom amd II X6 1100T for my clothing collection and wanted to add it to some cards.
The processor was detected by the BIOS due to an unknown AMD processor and I was able to boot into Windows normally even though the OS had only one root available and was running at 800MHz, no matter what the BIOS configuration was.
I thought there was no bios support for the Phenom le X6 Series II, and I was right on the basis that my ageacpu.rom contains no links to the Phenom X6 Series II.
I searched on this site and on the Internet I found a Gigabyte GA-MA790FX-DQ6 motherboard, also with 790FX northbridge and SB600 southbridge, which supports the Phenom II X6 series for the latest BIOS
I tried replacing my bios by replacing ageacpu.rom as well as ncpucode.bin with the ones I extracted from the gigabyte bios . With such a modified BIOS, my DFI started well, the BIOS recognizes the processor as II Phenom X6 1100T, but under Windows the same thing is available: only one core, at a frequency of 800 MHz.
