I right click on the “ftp root” directory, which is important, and click “Share and Security”. On the Share tab, click Share this process to this folder on the network

Do you have file / folder permissions?
Try checking the shutdown permissions using the IIS MMC.

What can I do if my FTP is not secure?

If it’s not a secure file transfer protocol, try detecting traffic with a packet sniffer like SmartSniff or Angelic on both computers to see exactly what’s going on with the cable, regardless of whether you try to use FTP. The dissimilarity must have an answer.

I go toTools, IIS administrative, right click on “Default FTP Site” … Users on the “Security Accounts” tab are Administrators for the FTP Provider and ASPNET. But the part that is the most on the panel is inactive. I am unable to remove or remove driver add permissions. I am (logged in because administrator)

When I right-click the FTPROOT directory in Windows Explorer, that is, I click
Sharing and Security, I don’t see any option or panel that allows individual users to access the
directory. (Can I connect to the FTP site as “Administrator”?

    – Right click on the site, select the File Transfer Protocol property
    – On the Start List tab, make sure that the Write option only allows included.

Why can’t I access my FTP server?

If your computer cannot connect to this server, or your FTP software is not working properly, and even something on your computer (perhaps a new firewall or other security software) is considered blocking all FTP connections. You can use other FTP software like the free FileZilla.

Does an Internet user have access rights to files / folders?
Try to analyze IIS write permissions using MMC.

    I’m not 🙂
Of course I go to Administration, IIS, go straight to the default FTP site …
in the Basic Security Accounts tab are FTP Administrators.
and ASPNET site operators. But the chapter on the panel was inactive. I am unable to add or remove network permissions. (I entered to the system as an administrator)
If I right-click the FTPROOT service in Windows Explorer and select
Sharing and Security, I don’t need to see any options or panels to display
individual users. free information rights. (When I log in, I refer to the FTP site as “admin.”
    I appreciate the help,

    Good.
    a) IIS FTP Settings
    – Open IIS MMC
    – Right click on the site, selectSelect the FTP property
    – To directory Make sure the Write permission is enabled in all cases.
    b) Configure NTFS in XP, read
How to Install, Change, View, or Apply File and Folder Permissions in Windows
    XP
    http://support.microsoft.com/?id = 308418

Now that I know him, it’s easy! I can’t see the permissions on the
file because the small Windows XP was installed to “professional” to get a simplified version. And I may not be that stupid, but the checkboxes for read and write, read and write are not checked in the “Corpus” tab.

Oh .. my bad one. This is what we call the IIS administrative interface.
Full name in XP – Internet Information Services

MMC is usually the Microsoft Management Console, which the product primarily uses to host management functionality in a standard common user interface.

    windows xp ftp access denied

To illustrate the space, including those who know and those who have no idea
when you mentionwhether “open to IIS MMC”, I don’t understand what you are talking about.
Under WindowsXP I knew that I should participate in Control Panel, Administrative Tools,
IIS. The tabbed dialog of the IIS Administrator says nothing about its title, indicating that it is someone’s IIS MMC. Only when I pressed the “Help” button … And when I saw “I tried mms”, I realized that I was in the right place.
As a programmer, I love MSFT. As a user, I’m a little scared right now at how difficult it is to use your software to get started over time. (I’m totally scared of using Linux for something completely new) MSFT to follow the guidelines and not tell you why our option is not available is a nuisance. Then in this case “easy access” was turned on,
the protected tab was not even shown to me when the site was set to individual user rights
    . I’m lost.
The IBM AS400 strategy I’m working on has a sophisticated feature that helps with this
element. Each administration screen has a powerful “F21 = Assistant Level” option.
If you change the level of Personal Assistant From “User” to “Medium” to “Advanced”, the admin screen will change to provide more options. … IBM, of course, is killing the AS400 by ruthlessly suppressing its customers, trapped in the privilege of running an operating system that it hasn’t improved even in 10 years on the latest material. Beware of your vast Linux resources, people think IBM is your one-to-one friend!

Is the ftp.exe blocked in the firewall?

Ftp.exe was not blocked in firewall policy (tested). All comments / help are appreciated. First, make sure the “Enable FTP folder display (outside of Internet Explorer)” option is enabled: 1. Click Computer. 2. Click Map Network Drive in the corresponding menu. 3. The “Map Network Drive” home window will open.
